Child Care Orientation Training

The Workforce Development Center of Southeast Arkansas College provides caregivers in child care centers training to enhance the quality and quantity of child care in Arkansas.  The training is called Child Care Orientation Training (CCOT) and covers ten modules of basic orientation training in a free twenty-four (24) hours session.

The training is offered in collaboration with the Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education of the Arkansas Department of Human Services and the Arkansas Department of Workforce Education.

The Child Development Associate (CDA) program is a national effort to credential qualified caregivers who work with children from birth to age 5 years.  The Division monitors the CDA assessment process and evaluation of CDA courses.  The Division currently provides scholarships to many CDA candidates throughout the state.
