Trait of the Month |
In February, 2005, the Character Council of Southeast Arkansas was formed with the mission of promint character in Southeast Arkansas. This 501(c) (3) organization was formed in response to the Pine Bluff City Council City of Character Resoution, a similar resolution passed by Jefferson County, and the State of Arkansas' State of Character Resolution. Monte Coleman is the president, and Jackie Harris is the vice president.
On March 10, 2005, incoming Mayor Redus hosted a City of Character Breakfast. Over one thousand people attended. Since then, the Council has hosted a public introduction to the Character Trait of the Month. These public introductions are held the first Tue of every month at the Reynolds Center, Meeting Room A/B, 10am and 2pm.
